The JennAir JIC4736HS is a 36-inch induction cooktop featuring six flexible 8-inch cooking elements, each capable of delivering up to 3,700 watts with Power Boost. Magnetic induction transfers energy directly to compatible cookware for fast heating, precise temperature control, and a cooking surface that remains cooler than conventional radiant elements. Automatic pan detection activates an element only when appropriately sized induction cookware is present, while dynamic elements accommodate multiple cookware sizes. Bridge functionality allows adjacent elements to operate together for oversized cookware such as griddles, roasting pans, and braisers. Responsive Emotive touch controls provide intuitive operation across the smooth black-glass surface, and heating-element and hot-surface indicators improve visibility during use. The cooktop supports both razor-fine installation slightly above the countertop and true-flush installation for a streamlined appearance. Its Lustre Stainless design expression, black glass surface, and low-profile edge create a refined contemporary finish, while installation compatibility above a single wall oven provides additional kitchen-design flexibility.
