Purpose / Use Required when installing two compatible Sub-Zero “Designer” units side-by-side so that their handles meet in the center (handle-to-handle) instead of using separate handle side trims.
Included Components Heater, center trim strip, hardware (clips, screws), ground wire, plug, edge guards/tape.
Compatible Unit Types “Designer” (formerly “Integrated”) column or tall refrigerators, freezers, wine storage units — various widths (18", 24", 30", 36") and configurations (refrigerator, freezer, combo, wine storage, over-under, etc.).
Installation Context Used when placing two units side by side: for example two columns next to each other, or a column next to a tall or over-under unit — as long as same handle style is used.
What It Replaces In a dual-install scenario, this kit replaces the individual unit handle side trims; you discard the usual side trims and install the center trim+heater provided.
Special Notes - The kit includes a heater panel (to prevent condensation/gap issues between units).
- Center trim does not cover the louvered area behind a lower drawer on certain tall models.
- Use correct pin placement for the heater wiring depending on whether the adjacent unit is a refrigerator, freezer, or combo.
